I AM PJ VEGAS

PJ Vegas is a multi-award-winning Italian Native American and Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and activist. The son of Pat Vegas, founder of the legendary Native American rock band @Redbone, PJ carries on his family’s legacy while forging his own path in music and advocacy.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, PJ is known for his sultry vocals, gritty content, and genre-blending style that fuses R&B, Alternative, hip-hop, and pop. His music explores themes of love, resilience, cultural pride, and social justice. He gained widespread recognition after winning an MTV VMA for Best Video for Good in 2017 with the protest anthem Stand Up / Stand N Rock #NoDAPL, which supported the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in their fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline. He has also earned Native American Music Awards and International Indigenous Hip-Hop Awards for his work.

Beyond music, PJ is a dedicated advocate for Native sovereignty, environmental justice, and Indigenous representation. He co-produced the first-ever Indigenous Peoples Day in Los Angeles and continues to use his platform to uplift his community. His latest album, Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire, is available on all streaming platforms, solidifying his place as a leading voice in both Indigenous and mainstream music.
